LOOKING FOR A BINGO SOLUTION. Bingo - Hall Edition. Quality Bingo software designed with economy in mind. Don’t be a slave to the high cost of running a successful BINGO event. Why spend hundreds of dollars to buy used equipment that is likely to have a short lifespan? In fact, why buy equipment that limits you to the sole use as BINGO equipment? Add flexibility and functionality to your quest for a BINGO solution. By connecting a computer running a Bingo Rose program to a TV monitor or projector, you can eliminate the high cost of a single-purpose flashboard. And the Bingo Rose program running in Auto mode will randomly generate the game balls which will eliminate the need for expensive and noisy ball blowers. For a relatively low cost you can own a total entertainment package that doubles as BINGO equipment when needed. You will enjoy this type of package for TV viewing, movie night, and use with other computer programs just to mention a couple of uses. Bingo - Hall Edition features an uncluttered and visually appealing screen layout with prominent last ball called and game pattern displays. Used in either Auto or Timer modes, the Bingo Rose unique randomly generated ball sequence eliminates the need for a ball blower, creating a peaceful / tranquil environment to enjoy the game. Manual mode allows you to take advantage of the many other program features when use with visible balls is mandated. Three pre-programmed ball caller modes (male / female / numbers) reduce caller fatigue and assist patrons by providing a consistent sound they can become familiar with. The Silent mode allows the caller to call the game without interference. The customizable ball caller files are located external to the program. With the aid of a sound editor program, available for free download on the Internet, each ball file can be recreated in a different voice, language or calling style, making this program truly your own. Less prominently displayed features including a balls called counter, adjustable call interval setting, seconds countdown to next ball to be called, Bingo Rose card verification, rhyming call, and game pattern selector are inconspicuously located for the benefit of the caller. The Wild Ball and Wild Row features allow the caller to call multiple balls and eliminate them from being called again during that game. Over 60 game patterns are included, with the ability to display a custom pattern. The game pattern sequence can be setup in advance to facilitate smooth transition between games. The current pattern is displayed during the game and a large pop-up representation is provided to prominently display the pattern before the game begins. Need to see what sequence the current game balls were called, just select the Balls Selected feature. Don’t trust that all balls were in play when using the random number generator, review the Ball History which records what balls were and would have been called after the current game is closed. For added utility for advanced uses, you can export this history in Text format for creative analysis with a program such as Excel. As a bonus, a Bingo Card Printer utility is distributed with the Hall Edition. With this utility you can print 4-card and 6-card sheets that will enable you to use the card validation feature in the Hall Version. Not just a BINGO game, you can use the Advertisement feature to promote upcoming events or snack bar offerings before the game or at half-time. Or use the Raffle Tickets feature to randomly select winning numbers for your ticket draws. Bingo Rose programs are built on a technologically modern platform - Microsoft Office Access 2007. There is no need to have Access installed on your computer as the installation routine includes an Access 2007 runtime environment installation. The minimum Operating System requirement is Windows XP SP2. Bingo - Hall Edition is licensed for single organization use. The Organization Name must be provided at time of purchase. The same Organization Name must be used in conjunction with a License number when the program is first used to register the licensee and record the Organization Name for display on the main screen. The Bingo - Hall Edition main screen is organized to maximize its viewability by the Bingo patron. Yet the many controls used by the caller are functionally placed and inconspicuous to the patron. Several of the controls are invisible while the game is on to avoid distraction. Bingo patrons will appreciate the uncluttered and easily read displays. And when the Auto mode and Sound features are utilized, the caller will appreciate the effortless nature of calling the Bingo. Large screen display devoted to the patron’s needs. The Hall Edition allows for the customization of the screen with your own logo. The 300 X 150 pixel corplogo.jpg template file resides external to the program for easy access. The logo is displayed in the area where the last number called is displayed when a game is not in play. Several functional controls and energy saving features are discreetly located on the Bingo Rose - Hall Edition main screen for use by the caller. The main control is the Mode dropdown which allows the caller to select how the program will control the progress of the game. Three operational modes are available. The default mode, Auto, works in conjunction with the Sound Mode and Timer features to maximize the value of the program. Countdown timer feature. Once the current game is started, a “randomly selected” ball will be called. This ball will be prominently displayed and a sound file will be activated that will call the ball using the voice selected in the Sound control. The timer will countdown to zero at which time (unless the game is halted) the next ball call will be initiated. The Seconds to Countdown default setting is 10 seconds, but it is adjustable to suit your needs. Timer mode is similar to Auto mode with the exception that, once the countdown reaches zero, the Select button reappears and must be pressed in order to call the next ball. This allows for situations whereby some patrons are having minor difficulties with the game flow and therefore the calling interval can be adjusted longer but not shorter. In both Auto and Timer modes, the balls are “randomly selected” and the main screen numbers cannot be selected. Manual mode necessitates a ball blower or cage be used to select the balls. The drawn ball can then be highlighted, and the associated sound file activated, by clicking the appropriate image on the screen. The Sound control allows the caller to select how (or if) the program will call the balls as they are selected. Five sound modes are available. The default selection (Female) features the voice of Rose Davidson, the inspiration in developing this software program. Both Female and Male modes announce the ball twice. Both Female #s and Male #s make a single announcement of the ball number only which is useful when playing a “speedy” game. Silent mode does not announce the ball selected. Regardless of the mode selected, the caller still has the option of adding commentary to compliment the programmed voice. As the sound files are located external to the program, each file is customizable to meet your specific needs, be that a different language or style of call. Sound editing software is readily available for free download on the internet. The next major control to set is the game pattern. Bingo - Hall Edition allows you to select from over 60 pre-programmed patterns. By selecting the “Custom” item, you can create your own pattern for the current game. Pattern selector and mini on-screen pattern display. The selected pattern will then be displayed on a full-size popup form for easy viewing by all Bingo patrons. A smaller version of the pattern will be displayed to the left of the Last Number Called display and remains visible until a new game is selected. Custom mini on-screen pattern display. When the selected pattern is Custom, initially a blank pattern is displayed. A single-click in a pattern square will highlight that square, and a double-click will remove the highlighting. Therefore you can create any pattern for the current game. These custom patterns cannot be saved. You can cause the full-size popup form to display the Custom pattern by double-clicking the Custom label below the pattern display. Pattern list. Click to see Pre-programmed patterns available. The Hall Edition allows for the customization of the Logo pattern with your own logo. The 132 X 168 pixel corplogosm.jpg template file resides external to the program for easy access. The logo is displayed in the game pattern area throughout the time that a Logo pattern is selected. Bingo Hall Edition personal logo display as pattern. To assist the caller, when the “Speedy” pattern is selected, a Coverall pattern is displayed, the Seconds to Countdown setting is set to 3 seconds, the #s version of the caller’s voice is selected, and the toteboard is hidden from view. The last settings are restored when a new game or a different pattern is selected. (The toteboard can be hidden manually if desired for other pattern games by selecting the Hide Toteboard checkbox on the Utility Switchboard.) When a New Game is selected, a warning message will be displayed if no pattern is selected. To save time and to streamline the Bingo event, you can also pre-program the pattern flow. This control is accessible by double-clicking the Bingo Rose logo on the main screen. This opens the Utility Switchboard. Several value-added features are accessible from the Utility Switchboard. Select the Program Patterns button to pre-program the game patterns. Pattern scheduling is activated when the Schedule checkbox is checked. Once the pattern schedule is programmed, check the Schedule checkbox and close the Pattern Schedule popup to complete the setup. With the pattern schedule activated, you can scroll through the schedule one pattern at a time. As each successive pattern is selected, a larger popup view of the pattern will be displayed for the benefit of the Bingo patrons. The pattern index is discretely displayed under the mini pattern display. When Pattern scheduling is activated and a New Game is selected, the next pattern is automatically selected and displayed. In all modes, as a ball is selected, the appropriate number square on the Bingo flashboard will be highlighted and the numbering will display in yellow. Current ball highlighting. Click to hear Bingo Rose call “B4”. A large display of the current ball is prominently displayed in the lower right of the screen. Current ball display. When the next ball is selected, the number square numbering will switch to white. Previous ball(s) called are highlighted with white numbering. Both the Wild Ball and Wild Row features allow the caller to quickly put multiple balls in play. Only one of these controls is available for use at a time. When the Wild Ball checkbox is selected, the Wild Ball button becomes visible. When clicked, a random number between 1 and 10 (representing zero) is generated and displayed at the last ball called location. All number squares associated with that number are highlighted. For example, if the number six (6) is generated, B6, I16, I26, N36, G46, G56, and O66 are highlighted. In other words, the number six and all numbers ending in six are called. When the Wild Row checkbox is selected, the Wild Row button and several associated checkboxes become visible. This feature is useful to mark an entire row or rows, or all odd or even balls as being played. An example is whereby there are no Ns required to complete the Cloverleaf pattern. Therefore a check would be placed in the N checkbox and the Wild Row button clicked. All Ns would display as having been called and no further Ns would be called. (Note that if you are using the same game card to proceed to the next pattern such as a Coverall, you would not use this feature to mark balls that will be called in the follow on game.) The About Bingo Rose splash screen is displayed for approximately four seconds when the program is launched. It can also be accessed from the Utility Switchboard by double-clicking the Bingo Rose logo. About Bingo Rose splash screen provides information about your computer and the environment that Bingo Rose is operating in. This information might assist Bingo Rose personnel in troubleshooting any unlikely difficulties you experience with the program. NOTE: Please consult local laws before using this program for other than Not for Profit use. Give your patrons something to look at while they wait for the game to start or during the break. The Advertisement feature allows you to display information for your patrons about items such as upcoming events, game rules, offerings available in the snack bar, or just entertaining photos. You can either advance the 10 available screens manually, or set a timeframe between slides and launch the Slideshow. The 10 .jpg files are stored externally to the program for easy access. Simply use the existing files as a template for your creations. The Advertisement feature can be accessed from the Utility Switchboard by double-clicking the Bingo Rose logo. Don’t believe that all of the balls are “in the drum” for the current game? We won’t let you see what our unique random number generator has in store for the current game to ensure that no foul play is possible. However, when a New Game is selected, the current game is stored for review and analysis. Ball History is available. Every ball, called or not, is accounted for! You can readily see what order the balls were / would have been called, the number of balls called, and a date and time stamp of when the game was officially terminated. This feature can be accessed from the Utility Switchboard by double-clicking the Bingo Rose logo. If you check the To file checkbox and select Ball History, the data from the report will export to a text file for review and possible further analysis. Note that by selecting the Reset Ball History button, all previously stored history will be erased. These features can be accessed from the Utility Switchboard by double-clicking the Bingo Rose logo. Exported Ball History is a text file. For a clearer view of this data in a format that can be manipulated to generate a myriad of statistical information, you can use a program such as MS Excel. You can use the following import settings to import the text file into Excel. How to open the exported Ball History text file in Excel for further analysis. The resultant file will initially look like the image below. Ball History as seen in Excel. The exported Ball History text file opened in Excel for further analysis. Some skill and creativity may be required. During a game you may wish to review what order the selected balls were called. All balls in play, including those eliminated using the Wild Row feature, will be displayed according to the order they were called. There is no print ability for this summary, however, if you need to keep this data, you could always take a screen print and copy it into a photo editing software like Paint. Balls Called Summary showing 60 balls in play. This feature can be accessed from the Utility Switchboard by double-clicking the Bingo Rose logo. Although not a Bingo function, this add-on is commonly associated with a Bingo Hall environment. This utility allows you to place up to 1000 tickets into the raffle drum and randomly assign the draw order. Utility restriction warning. You are afforded the ability to enter three sets of tickets, using the Ticket Identifier to categorize each set. Each identifier must be unique. (If you are only using one set of continuous tickets, you can enter the same information with unique identifiers in each of the three rows in order to give each ticket three chances of winning!) Raffle ticket screen Enter information into the Raffle feature. Once the ticket data is entered, you select the Shuffle button to process each ticket into the drum. Tickets Processed will appear below the Shuffle button when all ticket entries have been processed. Select the Shuffle button to process all tickets into the drum. Select the Select button to display the first winning number, a combination of the Ticket Identifier and a ticket number. The arrow navigation buttons allow you to scroll to the next winning ticket number. Scroll through winning tickets. Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the winning tickets. This feature, which can be accessed from the Utility Switchboard by double-clicking the Bingo Rose logo, can also be used as a simple random number generator. The Bingo - Hall Edition software is licensed for the enjoyment and sole use of a single organization. An Organization name must be provided at time of purchase. A License number will be provided with the installation CD that is unique to that organization. Both the provided Organization name and the License number listed in the letter that will accompany the software CD must be entered exactly as indicated in the letter to gain access to the software when it is first run. To review your license information, you can access the Bingo Rose License form from the Utility Switchboard by double-clicking the Bingo Rose logo. The Bingo Rose Cards checkbox, which can be accessed from the Utility Switchboard by double-clicking the Bingo Rose logo, allows you to show or hide the Card Validation # textbox on the Bingo - Hall Edition main screen. You must be using Bingo Rose created cards to use this feature. Alternatively, if you have your own cards, you can use the Card Lookup utility to discover the Bingo Rose associated number (if there is a match) which you can annotate on your card for use with the card validation feature. Bingo Rose Cards checkbox and Card Validation # textbox. The ability to create your own Bingo cards is provided with Card Printer utility, a separate utility that is installed in the Bingo Rose folder (Cards.accdr) as a bonus to Hall Edition purchasers. Bingo Rose Card Printer. When Bingo Rose cards are created with the Random Cards checkbox unchecked, cards have a unique 1 - 5 digit number in the centre. This number can be entered in the Card Validation # textbox to display that card, marked with all called numbers, for prominent view by the caller and Bingo patrons to verify that a winning card has been presented. There are 99,999 unique Bingo cards stored within the program. With the Serial Range dropdown control, you can select what range you want to create your cards in. The default 1 - 99999 setting will select cards from the full set of cards available. You can also select to print cards restricted to one of the 10 other options which will ensure that cards only contain serials within that 10,000 cards group. This can be useful in that you can use a certain range of cards for a particular game for control purposes. When checked, the Centre Free checkbox becomes visible allowing you to create cards with either FREE or a number in the centre square of the card. As well, Random Cards are also non-repeating, that is you will not find the same number in the same column on any sheet. (See the 6 cards per sheet example below that displays use of the Random Cards and Centre Free combination.) Random Cards and Centre Free utilities. Random Cards checkbox. (Note that if you are using the same game card to proceed to the next pattern such as a Coverall, you would not use this feature to mark balls that will be called in the follow on game.)
